Canada Circumvents Trump Tariffs!

After President Trump's 'generous' offer to make Canada the 51st state was rejected by the Canadian government, Trump has been keen on placing horrific tariffs on one of our biggest trading partner. Canadians have been boycotting travel to the US and US products. Even though we already have a trade agreement (negotiated by Trump himself) in place, the President says he will not be satisfied until our northern neighbor becomes the latest star on our flag.
Canadians resented the fact that this offer ignores the ten provinces which function essentialy like states. Trump's proposal that each of the ten provinces would be lumped together with just two senators among them all is taken as an affront. Canada counter offered to become ten states, nine of which would most likely vote blue.
This would give the Democrats a commanding majority in the Senate and shift the house far to the left. After that occurred, Puerto Rico, District of Columbia and Greenland would be admitted as the 61st, 62nd and 63rd states respectively. The Republicans would never have a chance to win the House, Senate or the White House in the foreseeable future.
In the mean time, while these steps are being negotiated with Trump, the ever clever Canadians have outplayed Trump yet again. With wild fires raging in Canada, the prevailing breezes have sent the smoke over the border. This massive export to the USA is impossible to tariff. Ottawa is rejoicing as Trump Tariffs suffer yet another set back.
One might say, the future of Canada becoming part of the USA is "blowing in the wind".
