Accomplishments: US House of Representatives for Oregon, but didn’t even live inside her own district. Served one full term. Does not want to overturn anti-labor ‘right to work’ laws. Supported by the teamsters. Supports a nationwide abortion ban. Is just Latina enough to give Trump an opportunity to say he doesn’t hate all Latina people.
Qualifications: Compared to others, surprising lack of serious negatives. Her father was a labor activist.
Philosophy: Maybe I can look good when you compare me to other cabinet officials.
