Wants to cut EPA, Veteran Affairs, Medicaid, high-speed rail projects, cap and trade and Washington Metro. Governor of South Dakota and would crack down on abortion providers in her state, supported anti-protest legislation. Several conflicts of interest allegations in 2020, politically fought with nine tribes which banned her from their lands, interfered with Covid 19 stay at home policies, abolished South Dakota’s permit requirement to carry a concealed weapon, opposes same sex marriage, backs school prayer, rescinded temporary protected status for Venezuelans. Revoked legal protections of people from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua and Venezuela, used Guantanamo Bay to house deportees, allowed DOGE access to sensitive data, had her government access badge and passport stolen raising security concerns.
